GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

If you are taking a Virtual Arkansas Concurrent Credit course from Arkansas Tech University, the $25 course fee is due by October 16.  Checks can be made payable to Batesville Schools and money should be given to Mrs. Gerhardt

Any sophomore or junior interested in taking the PSAT (a practice for the SAT as a sophomore, and part of the National Merit competition as a junior) onOctober 11th should sign up in the counseling office. The fee for this test is $15

BHS Flu Clinic will be 
Tuesday, October 10th. Students can pick up flu packets in the office or nurse's office and have them returned by Friday, September 29th.  

Current juniors interested in attending the University of Arkansas can sign up for a free lunch, provided by the University of Arkansas Alumni Association, on Thursday, September 21st.  The sign up sheet is located at the front desk.

A week-long travel tour to see the sights of San Francisco and Los Angeles is scheduled for June 2018.

Yearbooks are on sale! Please be sure to get the yearbook order forms (that you received in 2nd Block) home to your guardians.  If you failed to get a form or need an extra, see Mrs. James in Room 6. Order before September 29 to take advantage of special options!

School Days photos for grades 9-11 is September 20.

SENIOR INFO

October 4 is Senior Group Photo at 9:30 at the Football Field.

Senior Ads are to be created and ordered online at www.jostensservice.com. You should have received a packet.

Scholarships: 

The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards is accepting applications for students who make a difference through volunteering.  The application can be accessed at spirit.prudential.com.  There is information in the rack in the Commons as well.  Deadline is November 7, 2017

Wendy's High School Heisman is accepting applications for the Heisman Scholarship.  If you are a student athlete with good grades and high character you can apply at wintheWhendysHeisman.com. The deadline is October 2, 2017.  

Congressman Rick Crawford will be hosting a Military Service Academy Night on November 27 from 6:00 until 8:00 at the ASU Newport Campus in the Larry Williams Student Community Center.  If you are interested in the US Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy, Coast Guard Academy, Merchant Marine Academy or ASU ROTC, there will be representatives available to present information and answer questions.

SOFTBALL: Any new student that would like to try out for high school softball please see Coach Hoffman this week.

GOLF: Boys and girls golf district . Students will miss these Days. They have been instructed to get with their teachers for all assignments. (26/27) is girls state at Paragould  Oct (3/4) boys state at Hot Springs

CLUB INFO

FFA:  FFA dues are $20 and need to be paid by Wednesday October 4th.

FBLA: Pay dues $10.00, T-shirt optional $12.00

NAHS MEETING this Thursday during lunch in room 20.  Officers and Homecoming and Artoberfest Committees only.

CHRISTIAN CLUB: Anyone interested in joining Christian Club should see Mr. Russell in Room 31.  All are welcome.  Dues are $0.00!  Our 1st meeting will be Sept. 26.  See You At The Pole is Sept. 27th." 

Beta Club's first Blood Drive for year will be NEXT TUESDAY, Sept. 26.  Please sign up on the Beta Board.  REMINDERS:  Do NOT sign up for a core class. Please ask your teacher PRIOR to blood drive if okay to give during the time you selected. Front office will call for you when it is your time to give this great gift of life. Eat breakfast...or lunch...before going to give blood.

SPANISH: Spanish Club dues are $15 and include the cost of this year's t-shirt. Please pay Ms. French in room 42 by Friday 9/22.
